I'm sorry I didn't write earlier, but I have been trying to recover from the surgery. I could barely move afterwards and moving now is still excruciatingly painful.

Well, they removed the 10x8 cm cist from my stomach through a very long cut that is going to take about six weeks to heal.  I can't drive a car or lift heavy things and won't be working for a while. O_o Maybe when I get some more rest I can write a fanfic about the experience.  LOL.

They tried keyhole surgery but the cist was too large.  When they tried to burn out the Endometriosis, they found a 6 cm fibroid in the way, so they couldn't get past it to the Endo and closed me up.  The doctor said he will have a talk with me shortly about possibly having another operation to remove the Endometriosis and the Fibroids at that time.

Thank you for everyone's encouraging emails.  It really helped me heaps to relax before they wheeled me into the operation.

Given that this was a scary experience that I have been told goes mostly unnoticed (Apparently 20 % of girls and women suffer from it, but it is never diagnosed), I am quite happy to discuss this further with anyone who has a family member who has been diagnosed, or who might want to see if they have the symptoms for Endometriosis.  It went unnoticed in myself for about 17 years and the only way we caught it was by a large lump emerging from my stomach and a REALLY tough time of the month we women go through every three weeks. I have been for a very long time and the symptoms were not connected to Endometriosis.

Hi guys,

I won't be updating the site or writing for a while.  I've been sick for a couple of months now and I just found out I will need surgery.  It's been a real shock with this coming after we found out mom had cancer last year.  I'll let you know how it all goes.
